Speaker Bio’s
Ben Alexander, PGA Teaching Professional: Ben Alexander began teaching in 1987 at Poppy Hills Golf Course and has been teaching ever since. A former PGA Teacher of the Year for the Northern California PGA Section he was also nominated for National PGA Teacher of the Year. Ben’s golf tips have been on television, in radio and in print in publications such as Golf Digest and PGA Magazine.
Chris Bitticks, Director of Golf at Poppy Ridge: Chris Bitticks has been a golf professional since 1968 years. In 2009 Chris joined Poppy Ridge as the Director of Golf. Prior to that he was the Head Golf Professional at Saddle Creek Resort. With over 40 years of experience he has coached golf at Santa Clara University and Columbia Community College.
Jim Collins, General Manager of San Ramon Golf Club: For over 20 years, Jim has facilitated over 10,000 private lessons and 50 golf schools, and received many awards for his contributions to the game of golf. A proud member of the PGA, he served as President of the NCPGA in 2000-2001. Additionally, Jim was instrumental in the launch of the new NCPGA Junior Golf Tour.
Mark Dorcack, Complete Golf School, Spring Valley Golf Club: Mark has been in the San Jose Area for over twenty years, working as a local PGA instructor, head professional and golf school owner and manager. A PGA member, Mark was one of the first instructors in the Bay Area to use video computer analysis to supplement his golf lessons. He’s seen the technology progress and improve over the years and has brought more and more enhancements to his golf school. He recently attained AIM Point Certification.
Mitch Lowe, Director of Instruction at Half Moon Bay Golf Links Academy of Golf: Mitch Lowe is a world-class golf instructor with more than sixteen years experience as an award-winning private coach, including time spent as an instructor for PGA TOUR, NATIONWIDE TOUR and Canadian PGA TOUR players, in addition to thousands of amateur golfers. A former PGA Tour Player he became a member of the PGA in 1999 and has been honored three times as the Northern California PGA Player of the year 3 times, most recently in 2010.
Craig Stadler, 1982 Masters Champion: The PGA Tour’s leading money winner in 1982, with over $10 million in career earnings, Stadler is one of the most recognizable golfers of the last three decades. Nicknamed “The Walrus” for his build and signature mustache, Stadler finished in the top-10 at major championships 13 times, including a win at The Masters in 1982. He also won two majors on the PGA Champions Tour, the last in 2004.
Dave Tuttle, Head Golf Professional at San Ramon Golf Club: Dave’s career spans over 16 years of golf instruction and currently serves as the Head Golf Professional at San Ramon Golf Club. Renowned for working with legendary instructor, Hank Haney, Dave has also been an instructor for the ESPN Golf schools working throughout the U.S. Since 2005, Dave has worked with local hospitals and the American Heart Association throughout Northern California coaching golf therapy for stroke and accident patients.
